Roman Abramovich’s Daughter Gets Engaged to Russian Solicitor

Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich’s daughter Anna is engaged, revealed British Newspaper Daily Mail today.

Unexpected news indeed! Anna Abramovich is only 18. She is studying at the prestigious West London School, where she was spotted showing off an enormous diamond ring and gleefully announcing to fellow pupils: “I’m engaged,” according to Daily Mail.

The same newspaper also disclosed who her lucky fiancé is. His name is Nikolai Lazarev, a Moscow-born solicitor aged 27. Chelsea FC owner putative son-in-law was privately educated in Britain at Hurtwood House School in Surrey. He then studied law at the University College London. Lazarev joined city firm Norton Rose as a trainee solicitor but left earlier this year.

Anna Abramovich and Lazarev have already been living together, according to her friends. Roman Abramovich’s fortune is worth $17 billion. He is the fourth richest man in Russia. Anna is his oldest child, and there are five other scions. The youngest is son Arron, ten months, by his girlfriend Dasha Zhukova. He was born shortly after he divorced Irina Abramovich. Anna is thought to have been given a fortune already, so her own future family will never be short of funds.

A friend of the couple said to Daily Mail: ‘He is really, really sweet to her and very kind. All her friends are happy for her,” dismissing accusations of gold-digging.

Abramovich’s spokesman declined to comment on the news.
