Haute Hair: Sassoon Salon Launches it’s Autumn/Winter Collection

Much like a look book of a fashion houses, salons have quarterly collections to suit the season. Aiming to provide a service more than a one-time cut or color, Sassoon specializes in personalized hair design to create a custom look that complement bone structure and colors that suit your unique skin tone. Led by Creative Director Marilyn Harmon and Color Director Nicole Tabloff, a Northshore suburbanite who rebelled from her prim and proper upbringing to attend beauty school, these two understand the need to maintain an effortless image.

The AW10 Blast Collection is a vibrant celebration of fashion’s physicality and its intimate relationship with the body in movement. Blast is in perfect rhythm with AW10’s most mesmerizing looks: the techno-tribal diagonals of Missoni’s knits; the visceral lines of Christopher Kane’s embroidered minis; the swaying motion of Roksanda Ilincic’s 70s-inspired gowns.

What’s haute this season in hair? Blast captures the sense of motion at the forefront of AW10 fashion and uses color and texture to express this in hair. Intricately cut and colored diagonals of hair give a rhythm and balance to a series of classic Sassoon shapes. The ochre color palette showcases the key color trends seen on the catwalk for AW10: rich brown hues from warm burnt sienna to cool golden ochre are transfused with icy umber.
