This Saturday October 16, is the 2nd annual Art is in the Blood event presented by Howell Mill Road’s premier hair masters, Dragonfly the Salon. Benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, this is one charity function that will warm your heart and encourage the spirit of giving. Come out and partake in innovative art pieces and donate to help efforts in finding a cure for this disease affecting children all over. It’s the season of giving, so give until it hurts!
Commencing at 7 p.m. at Room & Board within West Atlanta’s White Provision Development Company, Art is in the Blood showcases some of the city’s most talked about and most talented artisans. Rounding out this year’s roster of artistic talent is Dusty Griffith, Lynn Raney, Cobradoll (Caroline Gray), Rudy Rodriguez and a special piece from Pieter van der Meer. Guests in attendance will also have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction featuring a varying range of items from city hot spots and also merchandise from the participating artists. For a $20 suggested donation at the door, guests will enjoy an extremely festive night while aiding a great cause. Noted Atlanta DJs Kevin O, Rachael Pryor and Mike Zarin provide the beats to keep the party alive and in full swing all evening long. Delicious cocktail options are available to all attendees as they peruse the artistic representations on display. The stylists at Dragonfly the Salon are throwing in an extra treat as they will have live model demonstrations of some of their most popular and award-winning hairstyles.
