Backstage Beauty: Make Up For Ever Boutique & Studio at Sephora Opens

The beauty world can be a mystery. Models stomp onto the runway all done up and the audience rarely gets to see what goes on behind the scenes, where armies of artists, dressers and more are pulling, pushing and primping at the speed of light. The Make Up For Ever Boutique & Studio brings backstage onstage and bringing the magic to the forefront.

Now open at South Coast Plaza’s Sephora location, the Make Up For Ever Boutique and Studio is one of only three worldwide (the other two just debuted in New York and Las Vegas), so you can expect to see things you’ve never seen before. You might be familiar with the brand’s punchy colors and super saturated palette, but there are a few things at the studio you won’t see anywhere else (think theatre-caliber blood, body paint and more).

In addition to the new line of Rouge Artist lipsticks, which promise long-lasting pigment without drying or feathering, the entire range of Make Up For Ever’s wares are all ready for playing and practicing. Now that Shu Uemura’s gone, they’ve got an entire lash bar and even iPads and touch-screen stations that the artists use for the in-studio classes. And with full-time artists on hand, they’re ready to teach you everything from a flawless face to a theatrical smoky eye.

So make room in your makeup bag and your schedule. A few lessons here and you’ll be your own artist.

Make Up For Ever Boutique & Studio is located inside the Sephora at South Coast Plaza, 3333 Bristol St. in Costa Mesa. 714.429.9130
