Vivienne Tam Spring 2011: Upscale Boho

For her Spring 2011 show, Vivienne Tam, known for her signature East meets West style, presented well-traveled, relaxed boho for the upscale market.

The show opened with ivory and cream crocheted elements and denim blues, followed by a layered blending of the two. The look transitioned to bolder global inspired prints with contrasting patchwork, and billowing silhouettes.

Patchwork hobo bags, beaded or embellished sandals, and bold metal Eastern inspired jewelry bringing large flea markets to mind, complemented the look. The hair direction by Bok Hee for Cutler were lush long wavy locks with a bit of a lived-in feel, often parted down the middle. Make-up directed by Maybelline Makeup Artist Charlotte Willer was very natural, and exemplified a bohemian no-fuss lifestyle.

Overall the look was independent, free-spirited and excellently executed. One can only imagine this girl traveling through the Silk Roads of China.
