Haute Event: Heather Huey + Urban A&O Building Fashion Opening and Installation
On Thursday, Sept. 23, fashion and design enthusiasts gathered at High Line Park for the opening of the second installation of the Building Fashion series. The ongoing series presents unique collaborations between globally celebrated fashion designers and local architect and design firms. These installations take place at HL23, New York City’s most innovative rotating pop-up shop.
The newest gallery features a partnership between Heather Huey, known mainly for her eccentric designer headpieces, and the luxury design firm Urban A&O. Guests sipped cocktails while soaking in this peculiar, yet awe-inspiring, display of fashion and art in a collaboration entitled “Mortal Coil.” The gallery is described as a “dark experimental exhibition integrating Urban A&O’s organic molded forms and space with Heather’s pieces.”
