Gottex Spring 2011 : Super-Yacht and 007 Poolside Swimsuits
Gottex Spring 2011 presented a stunning collection perfect for an Bond style estate poolside party or super-yacht lounging. One never imagined swimwear could be so divinely decadent.
Shimmering in swirls of vibrating color, key materials are ruched and foil metal Lycra, lucite, rock crystals, and hammered titanium metals and resin rock-like formations. Sihouettes play with proportions, with cut-outs, and bows and bandeaus.
As for accessories, the cover-up reaches red-carpet elegance and the lucite visor with a long scarf tie-back is all the rage for Spring 2011. In all, nearly 50 looks radiated off the runway. Only caveat is sunless tanning to avoid some mean tan lines.
With various twists, turns, drapings and exploration of materials, designer Molly Grad certainly translated her vision into a reality…“The collection celebrates women. It’s a fusion of technology and luxury, created to accentuate the female form.”
