Haute Event: Stewart Rahr Hosts A “Celebration of Life”

Head VIP Table

Traditionally, society’s elite travels to the South of France for the month of August. Instead, Stewart Rahr brings the South of France to society’s elite. On Aug. 7, Stewart Rahr threw an extravagant St. Tropez-themed party at his Hamptons mansion, Burnt Point. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by a display of Haute Living magazines and a lavish array of food and beverages.

While the pharmaceutical billionaire is well known for his generous donations to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, this particular party was entirely a “celebration of life.” The self-proclaimed “No. 1 King of All Fun” said the exclusive event was simply a way for him to give back to his exceptional friends.

It just so happens that his friends are some of the world’s most influential businessmen, politicians, and entertainers. Attendees included President Bill Clinton, Prince Albert of Monaco, Christie Brinkley, David Foster, Jonathan Tisch, David Koch, Donald and Ivanka Trump, Russell Simmons, Steve Cohen, Carl Icahn, LL Cool J, and Haute Living’s very own CEO Kamal Hotchandani.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a live performance by the legendary Lionel Richie, sipped eloquent cocktails, and we’re pretty certain this diverse group engaged in some interesting dinner conversations.
