Here in Miami, the summer is haute with events. You lucky dog you. Take a break from the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and head to pristine Coral Gables for a celebration of man’s best friend. Village of Merrick Park’s kickoff event to The Doggy Days of Summer event series is on Sunday, July 18, and your four-legged friend will feel licked if you don’t make the Pooch-A-Palooza.
Every dog has its day and Sunday is your pup’s day. Starting on July 18, with a dog parade in The Garden at 3 p.m., and every subsequent Sunday through Aug. 1, stop by Village of Merrick Park from 2 to 6 p.m. and take home a framed photo of your haute dog with any $25 purchase within the center. Guests will enjoy special treats and in-store promotions.
The kick-off event will feature an Adopt-a-Thon, where guests can fall in love with and take home well-deserving tykes of the canine type. $5 from every dog owner who enters the doggy parade will benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami. Bow wow.
The prestigious outdoor shopping destination encourages shoppers to walk-around its lavish grounds, tail-wagger in-tow, and dine al fresco at one of Village of Merrick Park’s many dog-friendly restaurants.
