Monday night marked the 75th Anniversary of the acquisition of the Chateau Haut-Brion by the U.S. financier Clarence Dillon and to celebrate the occasion, some of New York’s and the world’s most influential people came out to The Metropolitan Museum of Art to celebrate.
The beautifully decorated gala was hosted by Prince Robert de Luxembourg, president of Domaines Clarence Dillon and great-grandson of Dillon who bought the Pessac First Growth estate in 1935. The Chateau is rich with a history that spans centuries dating back to 1421.
The night featured food by the world famous Daniel Boulud and others in attendance included President Bill Clinton, Amy Fine Collins, Somers Farkas, Jane Boon, Zac Posen, Emily Rafferty, Gillian Hearst Simonds and Marjorie Gubelmann.
