Haute Event: 11th Annual Love Heals at Luna Farm

Love Heals held their 11th Annual Love Heals at Luna Farm in Sagaponack, N.Y. The event was co-hosted by Peter Davis and Mary Alice Stephenson and this year’s “A Picture Perfect Summer” included a silent auction, dancing, and a barbecue courtesy of Deforest Gibbs of Charlston, S.C.

Love Heals visits schools and community groups to reach both young people and those individuals who impact their lives, placing special emphasis on outreach to high-risk communities. They believe that HIV/AIDS education is the right of every person and that it should be taught in a safe and neutral atmosphere, in a nonjudgmental manner and within the context of comprehensive sexuality education. Americans between the age of 13 and 24 are contracting HIV at a rate of two per hour, which translates into an estimated 20,000 new cases a year.

There to support Love Heals and their mission to educate were Alison Brod, Dini von Mueffling, Ann Caruso, Andrew Saffir, Daniel Benedict, Anna Weiss, Becca Diamond, Christina Greeven Cuomo and Chris Cuomo.
