Yves Saint Laurent Reissues Opium

News | June 16, 2010

Yves Saint Laurent is reissuing its celebrated Opium fragrance with a fete this evening at an undisclosed locale on 37th Street in New York. Rumor has it this soiree is expected to attract masses of sensible women looking for an excuse to baste themselves in this sensual perfume and dance the night away. Alexa Chung and Alexandra are slated to DJ the event, which will also feature holograms, fortunetellers, and jugglers—the perfect act to accompany the famed scent that had many desperate housewives swooning with appeal after its original release in 1977.

Opium is laced with topnotes of mandarin, bergamot, and lily of the valley; accompanied by a heart of jasmine, carnation, and myrrh; and, finally, a sweet base of vanilla, amber, sweet myrrh, and patchouli. Check out YSL’s website for more information on this tantalizing aroma.
