Escape Without Moving: YogaChef’s Brentwood Retreats
A yoga and spa retreat is one of the best ways to recharge the batteries and refresh the mind. But with busy lives, the travel time alone can add more stress than it promises to take away. Which makes YogaChef’s backyard events the perfect answer.
On two Saturdays this month, David Lynch, a.k.a. YogaChef, is hosting a day retreat at a private Brentwood home with a saltwater pool, Jacuzzi, infrared sauna, several lounging areas and a unique newly built yurt (pictured).
Imagine, getting away without going anywhere!
The day includes a two-hour flow class in the morning and a late afternoon one-hour restorative, Pranayama & meditation class. In between, all will enjoy an al fresco organic farmer’s market lunch with a signature cocktail & artisan iced tea, followed by full use of all the pool amenities (private changing area, shower and beach towels provided). Participants can also partake in a half-hour massage for an additional fee. And everyone leaves with a chocolate gift.
As a chef, Lynch trained at Le Cordon Bleu and worked under James Beard-awarded Chef Michel Richard. As a yoga student, David has practiced Ashtanga for five years at YogaWorks, where he now teaches Vinyasa Flow (level 2/3). In addition to the retreats, Lynch’s YogaChef offers a private supper club, catering, confectionery, and private yoga and cooking lessons.
