Vintage 338 Opens

One thing a city can never get enough of? Wine bars. Their intimate appeal attracts everyone and anyone from a fun girls night out to the experienced connoisseur looking for the next worldly discovery or a young couple looking for a cute first date spot.

New on the scene? Vintage 338 is a modern and contemporary Urban European Wine Bar/Restaurant that just opened the heart of Lincoln Park. A charming venue where fine wines and style small bites and sandwiches inspired after the street food in the South of Europe shine, the new neighborhood spot is an intimate neighborhood spot with only 25 or so seats to relax with friends, take a date or escape for some “me time.”

The wines to be featured are all hand picked, predominately from Spain, France and Italy and will be available by the glass or the bottle.  With 25-30 wines pouring at any given time, Vintage 338 strives to not be intimidating and accessible to even the most inexperienced wine drinker. Menu highlights include the PLT (a playful take on the BLT, but with prosciutto, sun dried tomato pesto and buffalo mozzarella), warm brie with apples and honey and antipasto platters.

The owners, father-and-son team Tom and Christopher Barkulis have a combined 30+ years in restaurant and wine sales and thus bring the experience to a more streamlined wine and food menu in order to create a more authentic feel of the small wine bar/restaurants of Southern Europe. Bellisimo!
