Via Luna Grand Opening

News | May 4, 2010

More than 200 VIPs gathered on a balmy evening for the opening of Via Luna, as a full moon cast an incandescent glow into the new oceanfront Italian grill restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale. Guests mingled outdoors on the oceanfront terrace, through the crystal-lit Wine Room, Via Luna Bar with its massive “King Neptune” mural, and luminous restaurant to discover the chefs’ specialties, including house-made pastas, Bone-in Rib-Eye Florentina, Rib Veal Chop, a Jumbo Meatball in marinara sauce (an enormous 8-ounce meatball made of pork, veal and beef, using the Italian method of fresh bread soaked in milk instead of bread crumbs), and the pastry chef’s signature Nutella Beignet, while a guitarist serenaded guests outdoors and performer belted out Frank Sinatra tunes inside. With its beautiful ocean views that sparkle under the sun and moon, Via Luna (“moon path” in Italian) adds a new, casually elegant Italian Grill dining experience to Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard.
