Spring 2010 Costume Institute Benefit Gala

The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosted the long awaited Costume Institute Benefit Gala on May 3, where guests enjoyed a night of drinks, dining, and dancing. Considered one of the largest and finest museums in the world, The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s collection includes over two million pieces that span over five thousand years.

As co-sponsor of the lavish event, Gap teamed with prominent designers Alexander Wang, Sophie Theallet, Rodarte, and Thakoon to outfit celebrities such as M.I.A., Zoe Kravitz, and Jessica Alba. The event also featured an exclusive performance by the always over the top Lady Gaga. Along with the performance, the coveted designers were auctioned off, the silent auction will continue till the end of month.

The event attracted countless celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Gwen Stefani, Kristen Bell, Kate Bosworth, Renee Zellweger and several others.
