Party & Pilates on Miami Beach

News | May 6, 2010

Miami is renowned for slim waists and toned muscles, so to make it in this city you have to maintain your outer appearance. Tiny bikinis and slinky cocktail dresses are somewhat of a uniform here so if you haven’t sculpted your body yet, SoBe Pilates is here to help.

Luckily for our Miami residents, Mercedes Carlson, Susie Karvelis, and Tina Bassanese were in town to reveal the secrets behind achieving the ideal physique. These ladies are the minds behind SoBe Pilates and they arrived in Miami to celebrate “Retro 80s Grand Opening Celebration,” hosted by Miami’s own beauty, Miss Elaine Lancaster.

SoBe Pilates provides an assortment of classes, including Miami’s first Xtend Ballet Barre. Andrea Rogers, creator and founder of Xtend, Inc. was on hand to discuss the science behind her workout routine and how it produces the perfect body.

Also in attendance was Peter Knue, founder of Studio Uma in New York, as he demonstrated his knowledge in Biokinetics. The occasion looked like a seen right out of the movie Flashdance, as guests were seen sporting tights, high socks, and headbands.
