The Jewel Box: Roberta Freymann by Olivia Palermo Hits the Streets
Everyone’s favorite city slicker, Olivia Palermo, is joining her reality star compadres with a design collaboration—Lauren Conrad’s got Koehl’s, Whitney Port has her own namesake line Whitney Eve, and, now Palermo has Roberta Freymann.
Known best for clashing with reality TV’s favorite SoCal girl Port on MTV’s The City, Palermo is also a fixture among New York City’s social set. She is a frequent subject of street photogs from New York City to Paris to London, and has a classic style emulated by much of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. So, how did she hook up with jewelry designer Freymann, who is known for her bold necklaces spackled with jewels sourced from Indian markets? Apparently Palermo’s Mom turned her on to the playful pieces, sparking a yearlong design project. What resulted is a collection of colorful bib necklaces perfect for updating a simple spring or pre-fall look.
Palermo credits her Mom for her sartorial choices, and thinks she should have grown up in the 50s. We think we may have to purchase one or two of these stunners. Check the baubles out yourself at robertafreymann.com.
