Actors Danny Glover and Jimmy Jean-Louis as well as Haitian Ambassador to the U.S. were among exclusive guests in attendance for “To Haiti…With Love,” a fund-raising reception. The charitable cause was held at the W Hotel in Washington D.C. and hosted by Global Commerce Solutions on March 21, where more than 150 professionals arrived to demonstrate their support.

Among those in attendance was the aforementioned iconic actor, Danny Glover, Haiti’s Ambassador to the U.S., The Honorable Raymond E. Joseph, Haitian-born actor/activist Jimmy Jean-Louis (cast of NBC’s Heroes), and Former Governor of Virginia, The Honorable L. Douglas Wilder

Ed Baten, General Manager W Hotel D.C. and Terence Peterson, President/CEO of Kwedz Research sponsored the event. All proceeds were donated to The Children and Families Global Development Fund Inc & The Hollywood Unites for Haiti Earthquake Assistance Fund.

“It was an honor and privilege to host this event,” said Harry Black, VP of Global Commerce Solutions. “The ongoing needs of the Haitian people as they recover from the impact of the devastating earthquakes may not be on the front pages of the newspapers but they are at the forefront of our minds and hearts.”
