Haute Eating: The Touch Wine Decanter

News | April 23, 2010

Do you have some special bottles of red sitting in your wine cellar waiting to be decanted?

There’s no need to prolong opening up those coveted bottles of wine because we’ve found a stunning, limited edition, decanter named simply “The Touch.” The Touch, which just became available this spring, makes decanting wine a luxurious event—and it’s the kind of piece you may want to keep on display; it’s that spectacular.

John Pomp, a prominent glass-blowing artist (his clients include Tiffany & Co. and Donna Karan), partnered with Newton Vineyards (the pioneer in sustainable wines) in Napa Valley and created this eco-chic decanter made with 30-percent recycled glass.

Creating The Touch

The Touch is an ode, albeit a very decadent one, to the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. It’s so exclusive that there are only 100 available, and each has been numbered and signed. A great gift for yourself or your favorite oenophile.

The Touch; $500.
Available now at Newton Vineyard and also at:

Gallery R Pure in New York City.
