David Yurman’s Posh New Flagship Opens On Madison Avenue

News | April 26, 2010

David Yurman, jewelry designer extraordinaire, opened his new flagship store on Madison Avenue today. Yurman, who is known for his trendy cabled bracelets, rings, and necklaces set with bold stones and fancy diamonds runs the business with his wife Sybil, who serves as chief marketing officer of the company.  The shop, which will feature 2,000-square-feet of retail space over three stories, is situated in a converted five-story townhouse up the block from its previous, more intimate location.

Women’s jewelry is showcased on the first floor, with men’s jewelry and timepieces sharing the second floor. Those of you in the market for a chic new watch, or looking to buy a gift for your main squeeze, will love the bar and flat-screen television that is also on the second floor. On the third floor are the “newness” bridal and couture lines. Evan Yurman, son of the David Yurman, is responsible for updating the couture collection, which now offers dazzling baubles costing upwards of $1 million.

As the streets heat up, this is certainly one new retail destination worth checking out.
