News | April 20, 2010

Catholic Charities CYO presented its 2010 Loaves & Fishes Award for Faith in Action to Immaculee Ilibagiza, a survivor of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. Ilibagiza received the award at the 13th Annual Loaves & Fishes Dinner & Gala on April 16, at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco.

The charitable celebration recognized the philanthropy of leadership donors who arduously support Catholic Charities CYO throughout the year. The organization offers support and services to over 44,000 people annually in the San Francisco area.

Those in attendance enjoyed drinks and dinner as well as a presentation by Ilibagiza, detailing her experience and hardships. To date the organization has raised more than $10 million for their initiatives.
