Baru Urbano Grand Opening Party

Baru Urbano welcomed hundreds of guests on April 8, 2010 to celebrate the inauguration of the Miami-style restaurant. The elegant eatery truly embodies the downtown Miami lifestyle and is a much needed addition to the magical city.

“Baru Urbano fills a need we’ve had in Miami for sometime, especially downtown” said owner, Nicolas Hoyos. “We now have a place that embraces the Miami culture, day and night” he explained.

Those in attendance were thrilled throughout the night with an assortment of awe-inspiring acts such as acrobats on stilts, fire dancers, and a live graffiti demonstration. Guests also enjoyed hors d’oeuvres prepared by renowned Chef Gabriel Petrovich and an open bar for specialty cocktails. Several celebrities arrived to join in the festivities including Maritza Rodriguez, Ilia Calderon, and Humberto “El Gato” Rodriguez.

The event also benefited Wine to Water, a non-profit organization focused on provided clean water to nations throughout the globe.
