An Evening for Hope House

Geralyn White Dreyfous, Executive Producer of the Academy Award-winning film Born Into Brothels, and Event Chairs, Jim and Susan Swartz held An Evening for Hope House on April 22, at the prestigious Carolands Chateau in Hillsborough, California. The evening began with cocktails, followed by a salon concert featuring Grammy Award-winning performer Zakir Hussain. Afterward, guests enjoyed a delicious New Indian dinner prepared by world renowned Chef Floyd Cardoz of Tabla Restaurant in New York City.

Jim and Susan Swartz’s Host Committee included: Vijay and Swati Advani, Larry and Pam Baer, Jennifer Johnson Bolt, Neill and Linda Brownstein, Geralyn and Jim Dreyfous, Sako and Bill Fisher, Aaron Gershenberg and Julia Massa, Charlie and Ann Johnson, Swati Kapoor, Keyur Patel, Eva and Bill Price, Chris and Sarah Johnson Redlich, Tiffany Shlain, and John and Marva Warnock. The Honorary Chairs were Mayor Gavin Newsom and Jennifer Siebel Newsom.

The evening was an incredible celebration of Indian music and cuisine, while also benefiting Hope House. The charitable organization looks to build a Hope House, as well as establish college funds and programs that enrich the lives of young girls from Sonagachi, considered the largest red light district in Kolkata, India.
