2010 Model Beach Volleyball Tournament

Celebrated Miami residents Jerry Powers, Rick Delgado, Michael Malone, and Olivia Ormos hosted the long awaited 2010 Model Beach Volleyball Tournament presented by Yokenow.com on April 10th and 11th. Our own Haute Living Official DJ and musical master, DJ Irie was on hand to keep over 3,000 guests moving all night.

The two-day celebration featured eight renowned model agencies and a celebrity athlete team in a competitive, co-ed beach volleyball tournament. Next, CGM, Elite, MC2, Mega, Front, Green Agency, and Wilhelmina, were the various agencies competing.

On Saturday, teams battled for seeding in Sunday’s tournament, which began at 4 p.m. and featured the coveted MBVT CUP for the winning squad. Guests arrived in droves to the haute and hip, Nikki Beach, including Miami trendsetters, models, and VIP, as well as a few professional athletes. Those in attendance indulged in refreshments and gifts courtesy of Suio Water, Crunch Gym, Krome Tan, ShamWow, B & B Joint, and Presidente Light.

Rick Delgado, veteran volleyball event organizer and MC, returned to the tournament to lend his expertise and to make sure the matches were run to the highest standards. Wilhelmina models were the eventual champions with CGM as the runner-up. This star-studded event will be taking place throughout the globe, so make sure to catch one of these exciting tournaments.
