Marni and Current/Elliott Create Denim Line

Synergy tends to be a good thing, take for example peanut butter and chocolate, mp3 players and phones, and now Marni and Current/Elliott.

Los Angeles based jean company Current/Elliott has partnered with the eclectic and luxurious brand Marni to launch a denim line in June.

There have been no sightings or sneak peeks of what hybrid denim pants will look like, but according to Marni bigwig, Gianni Castiglioni, the denim jeans will be anything but the traditional five-pocket trousers we are familiar with.

Current/Elliott, who has recently gain popularity outside L.A., is known for their vintage inspired jeans, and we suspect the addition of Marni’s eclectic aesthetic style to the company will help produce jeans that are nothing short of fabulous.

Marni has made notable efforts to stay competitive in a difficult economy. By remaining flexible in their designs, they have managed to cater to a clientele looking for transitional pieces. Their line “Edition,” which was being tested in Japan as a lower end line, is set to officially open later this year.
