World’s Fastest Boat Debuts At Miami Beach Convention Center

Developed by Al Copeland Sr., the founder of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and a driver of the Popeyes Offshore race team, the world’s fastest boat, “Phenomenon,” debuted at a NOLA-themed press conference at the Miami Beach Convention Center on Thursday.

Created by NASA, Boeing, former naval architects and world-class professional power boat builders, the 56-foot watercraft is equipped with four turbine engines providing an amazing 12,000 horsepower. It was created with the purpose of breaking the world’s current propelled speedboat record of 220.5 MPH, according to The Life of Luxury.
