Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! It gives you energy and keeps you full until lunchtime. So when you’re looking for a new place to eat, why not try one of this week’s Haute 5 breakfast spots?

Silk Road Restaurant
The newest breakfast spot to hit the strip is Silk Road Restaurant inside Vdara Hotel and Spa. Silk Road exudes simple elegance. When walking into the lounge, you’ll see a white-lacquered map of Silk Road trade routes hanging above the bar with pink couches and free-form curvilinear furniture riddling the lounge. The menu is ingredient-driven, telling a savory story of East and West from the classic American meal–fresh juice, two eggs in any style, choice of ham, bacon, or sausage; crispy potato, toast, coffee, or tea; to the Free-Range Turkey Hash, with spiced Kirmizi butter, and Greek yogurt relish; or the Silk Road Breakfast Specialty, a filling wholesome breakfast that will keep you going through out your day.

DJT Restaurant
DJT inside the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas is an exquisite place to start off your morning. With a 1930s traditional feel, private booths, and door men wearing gloves when you enter the hotel, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a different place and time. The dramatically designed interior makes it one of the most impressive restaurants in Las Vegas. And you won’t be disappointed with the food either. They serve modern American Cuisine with a variety of regional influences. From the Trump American–two eggs in any style, two pancakes, choice of meat, country fried potatoes, toast, juice, and coffee or tea; to the Breakfast Panini–black forest ham and cheddar cheese with fried egg; to the Florentine Benedict–toasted English muffin, Canadian bacon, spinach, and country fried potatoes; your mouth will be watering with all of the breakfast delights. Payard Patisserie & Bistro
If you would like to start your morning off a little sweeter, try Payard Patisserie & Bistro inside Caesars Palace. Award-winning pastry chef Francois Payard has designed a beautiful multi-layered chocolate shop, pastry shop, and a small traditional dining room–to dive into more tasty treats. This is an upscale yet casual place to get your morning coffee, or maybe hot cocoa. The dining room is filled with dark wood tables and creamy white leather banquettes for a more traditional Bistro experience. The cuisine is savory and sweet, with the Eggs Benedict served on a croissant being a customer favorite, or you can choose from a the ham & Swiss cheese quiche, with baked tomato, and mixed green salad, or go with your sweet tooth and experience the Payard Chocolate Waffle with Nutella and caramelized bananas. But don’t worry, Chef Payard makes sure his sweets are not overwhelming, so that you can experience the flavors without a sugary overload.

Simon Restaurant & Lounge
If you’re seeking that modern, sophisticated flair in the morning, check out Simon Restaurant & Lounge inside Palms Place. Here, celebrated chef Kerry Simon has created an indoor-outdoor style restaurant with organic and fresh ingredients as the main focus. While eating, you’ll have a view of the dramatic outdoor pool and the Vegas Strip. The eating is the best part, with a traditional American Breakfast–three eggs in any style, choice of breakfast meat, and hash browns, served with juice, coffee, or tea and toast or croissant; or you can choose from one of the many organic eggs off the menu like the Farm Fresh Omelet with choice caramelized onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, aged cheddar, Swiss, spinach, chicken, sausage, bacon, or ham. If you’re looking for something lighter, try the Granola with oats, toasted almonds, golden raisins, and sunflower seeds; or one of the Assorted Cereals like Capt’n Crunch Berry or good old fashion Corn Flakes.

Society Café
Finally on our Haute 5 Breakfast picks of the week, is Society Café inside Encore. Honored as one of the “Best New Restaurants in America, 2009” by Esquire Magazine, Society Café is the newest and chicest hot spot for breakfast in Vegas. This restaurant is whimsical with bold bright colors, lush drapes, and cozy couch banquettes. It’s more of an experience than a restaurant, and it’s something you can only get at Encore. With that experience comes the food, from the strawberry, mango or vanilla protein smoothies to the organic vanilla yogurt and homemade granola, to the more traditional American Breakfast with two eggs “free-style,” country sausage, crispy bacon or Canadian bacon, breakfast potato, toast, and coffee or tea. Whatever your choice, this place has you covered. You’ll be begging for more.
