English Invasion!

News | January 6, 2010

Move over Emeril. There’s a new chef in town.

From three cookbooks to 20 nationwide restaurants, including one with pal Eva Langoria Parker, to HSN cookware and even a spot on People magazine’s most beautiful people list, Todd English is taking the culinary scene by storm. And lucky for South Florida residents, the opening of his new locale is right around the corner.

Known for twists on Mediterranean fare, classically trained English plans to open his fourth restaurant called Wild Olives Café at CityPlace in West Palm Beach this month and another this summer at the Mall at Wellington Green. He already has three hotspots in South Florida.

Some of our favorite dishes by the handsome chef include his osso buco with creamy ham hock risotto and pan-seared Florida grouper with lobster polenta, sweet peas, and chanterelles. Yum!

A humble English says he never imagined his name would be associated with so many restaurants. Today, he uses Wolfgang Puck’s brand as a business model.
