Haute Estate: Ron Popeil List Beverly Hills home for $5,995,000

Inventor and infomercial master Ron “Ronco” Popeil has listed his English country-style Beverly Hills home for $5,995,000.

Self-made man Ron Popeil is one of America’s unique inventors and over the past 40 years or his career, his innovative products have tallied in more than $2 billion in sales. Self Magazine voted Popeil as one of the “25 people who have change the way we eat, drink, and think about food” and his soaring success story isn’t over yet. One of Popeil’s latest inventions is called the Showtime Rotisserie & BBQ (pictured with Popeil above) is selling like wildfire with weekly reported sales in the thousands.

Popeil’s beautiful English country-style home has just hit the market for $5,995,000. The home is located in Beverly Hills, California and sits on more than an acre of land that contains a lighted north-south tennis court, a large pool with a desk area, and a two-story guesthouse. The main house features six bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms and 4,555 square feet of living space.

Inside the main house there are elaborate wood ceilings, extensive French doors and windows, slate floors and breathtaking mountain and canyon views. The large kitchen features and equally substantial center island which comfortable seats six people. Outdoors, a luxurious brick patio and terrace expands the already impressive entertainment space featured in the home.

Popeil is truly a master of infomercials and late-night television, entering into the homes of millions through their television set for decades promoting products that include the Veg-oMatic, the Inside-the-Shell egg scrambler, and Ronco’s Good Looking Hair Formula 9 spray-on hair. Many of the inventions tied to Popeil’s name were either invented by his father, Samuel Popeil, or himself.
