Haute Estate: Randolph Duke Sells Home for $5.3 million

Haute fashion designer, Randolph Duke has just sold his renowned Hollywood Hills home for $5.3 million.

Fashion designer that stars like Angelina Jolie, Sharon Stone, and Jennifer Lopez love to wear, Randolph Duke has just sold his Hollywood Hills home for $5.3 million. The 4,800-sqaure-foot house is surrounded by 6,500 square feet of additional outdoor terraces, decks, and gardens. The property is gated and the tri-level, three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom home features 10-foot-high windows, a silver-leaf tilted swimming pool, a reflecting pond, and downtown and ocean views. There is an outdoor dining area built into the adjoining hillside and features a chandelier hanging from a tree which creates a luxurious outdoor atmosphere for entertaining.

Duke purchased the property for a reported $2.25 million. The house went on the market a year ago with an original listing price of $8.25 million, however its price dropped over the course of the year, finally selling at $5.3 million just recently.

The modern home, designed by XTen Architecture, won the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles chapter award for residential design in 2007.

The popular designer began his career as a swimsuit designer before gaining momentum and recognition in the 1990s for “revitalizing Halston.” After this, Duke powered on and launched his own evening couture collection which is often worn by celebrities to red carpet events.
