Art Asia presented a private U.S. premiere screening for artist Yi Zhou’s “The Ear” featuring singer/songwriter Pharell Williams in the illustrious home of international green architect and art collector Chad Oppenheim during Art Basel.

Thousands of candles lit up the faces of top international gallerists, museum owners and entertainment industry leaders who enjoyed mouth-watering entrees by Sushi Maki and cocktails courtesy of Campari between catching the video loop and checking out the high-design finds in Oppenheim’s home.

Art Asia is a premier Asian contemporary art fair which debuted in Basel, Switzerland on June 8-14, 2009 before returning to Miami for its second edition on December 2-6, 2009. Building on the economic success and cultural boom of Asia, Art Asia brings together leading international galleries to showcase the finest examples of paintings, drawing, prints, photography, sculpture, mixed media, installations, and video from both established and emerging Asian artists.
