Apple to Introduce “The Cloud”

News | December 11, 2009

Apple continues to expand their products to the masses, already having created the successful phenomenons of the iTouch, iPhone, and all other “i” products. Now, their latest venture will be making iTunes more web-friendly, as they will allow users to access their music via “the cloud” online, rather than having it tied to specific devices. It’s a little similar to “Mobile Me,” except it’s just for iTunes. I guess that means no more browsing through Youtube at work or hoping Pandora will play your song choice. According to the Wall Street Journal, the success of LaLa, which allows users to listen to over 8 million songs for free once they’ve signed up (which Apple acquired for $85 million), has shown them that broader access to one’s music library is a big priority.
