Luxurious Chess Boards
Today we have been all about announcing the most luxurious and latest items out on the market. If you’re an avid chess player and want to show off your skills, and the size of your wallet, brag a little with this unique chess set that will put your opponents to shame. Sure, it’s enough to show how sophisticated you are by loving the game itself, what with all the video games that are out there and basic board games slowly fading away into the dinosaur era…but we think this is old school meets new-age in gaming. Discover Steve Vigar’s chess set and the Royal Diamond chess set, both of which have become true symbols of luxury. As a home decoration, or as a real game board, aside from the aforementioned are lacquered chess sets by a New York based artist named Alexander Gelman, who is in collaboration with Japanese artisans in the Ishikawa Prefecture town. These are also the only lacquered chess sets in the world. Crafted by hand in Japan, two out of the three chess sets put on display were put on sale at a New York design house Monday. Sure to become a symbol of your status, these lacquered Japanese chess sets bear a price tag of $123,000.
