Shock Jock Howard Stern pays $15.1 million for pair of apartments

The self-proclaimed King of All Media, Howard Stern, is back in the news, as the Shock Jock has paid $15.1 million for two 53rd-floor apartments in the Millenium Tower in Manhattan.
The apartments, which total 2,546 square feet, are located directly underneath Stern’s 54th-floor penthouse apartment, which totals 4,149 square feet. According to Celebrity Real Estate Homes Blog Big Time Listings, Stern’s LLC went into contract for the two properties on June 7; the deal closed two weeks ago.
Stern is no stranger to real estate deals. He is building a 16,000-square-foot home in Southampton, N.Y., and recently sold a six-bedroom oceanfront home in Amagansett, N.Y. for $5.5 million.
The Shock Jock is also no stranger to money. Though his deal with Sirius Satellite Radio does not reveal his personal salary, it is believed that Howard Stern netted a one-time stock bonus of $225 million for meeting subscription quotas for the satellite network.
