At 76, global media magnate Rupert Murdoch still likes to keep in shape, and he wants to do it the most exquisite facility possible. As if his $44 million Fifth Avenue triplex penthouse is not large enough, Murdoch has decided to expand it further. Murdoch is spending $400,000 to renovate and enlarge the penthouse’s current exercise area.
While a six-figure gym is not the norm, Murdoch neighbor Robert Mezzacappa explains, “People spend lots of money to live in the building, and they have a perfectly natural desire to have the apartment as they want it.” Apparently, exercise is a priority in Murdoch’s life, and the costly price tag does not appear to be an issue. via Real Estate Observer
