Celebrities Sing “Happy Birthday” to Robin Thicke at Abe & Arthurs and 1Oak

News | March 19, 2010

Birthdays are always a cause for celebration, but when you are one of America’s hot-right-now singer/songwriters and your name is Robin Thicke, then an over-the-top fete at one of NYC’s hautest spots is a mandate.

Such was the case on Wednesday night for Thicke’s 33rd bday.

While hordes of fans packed in Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night to sing their own rendition of “Happy Birthday” to the sexy crooner (who sold out the venue for a performance that included Alicia Keys as the headliner), the real party for those in the know was at Richie Akiva’s and Scott Sartiano’s 1Oak (which we profiled in the latest issue of Haute Living New York).

What a life when you can count Beyonce, Jay Z, Reggie Bush, Russell Simmons, and Andre Harrell as your party guests!  Of course proud papa Alan Thicke was also in attendance, who grooved to the beats from DJ Sinatra along with the crowds. Prior to the party, the group wined and dined at Abe & Arthur’s restaurant, another NYC hotspot that made it into our “Kings of the Night” feature. Check it out to see what owners Eugene Remm & Mark Birnbaum revealed about their craziest nightclub moments, their most exclusive parties, and how they describe their dream club project.
