Chateau Marmont is, of course, one of the most iconic destinations that Los Angeles has to offer. Now, in addition to the legendary restaurant and hot spot Bar Marmont, out-of-towners and locals alike can visit the new Japanese concept called Chateau Hanare, brought to the institution by restauranteur Reika Alexander—owner of En Japanese Brasserie in New York’s West Village neighborhood.

Translating to “cottage set apart,” Chateau Hanare has actually taken over one of the residential bungalows on the West Hollywood property, making it a hidden, insider secret. Featuring kaiseki menus—one of which is vegan—the restaurant also offers a full selection of sashimi, izakaya-style small plates and a vast list of Japanese whiskys and shochu, as well as an innovative cocktail selection.

The intimate setting is nestled away in the West Hollywood location, perfect for a delicious date night or a group of sushi lovers. The menu has something for everyone, between the house-made tofu, the selection of fresh sashimi, the tomato and truffled burrata, the baked ninjin, the fried chicken, the Miyazaki wagyu A5, the rice pot, the foie gras handroll and so much more. In addition to the mouthwatering food and beverage program and gorgeous ambiance, don’t be surprised to see some of Chateau Marmont’s A-list frequenters stop by for a bite (or two)!
