Celebrate Summer 2018 At These 7 Rooftops In NYC
Rooftop season is officially underway and there is nothing New Yorkers love more than a good view and an even better cocktail to go with it. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite destinations across NYC and Brooklyn for you to get your summer sip on this season.
Mr. Purple
You can always feel the good vibes coming from this buzzy LES hot spot at Hotel Indigo Lower East Side. The space features both indoor and outdoor space perfect for a party during the summer season. Using downtown New York as a backdrop, the interior space is complemented by two terraces. The smaller eastern terrace is perfect for an intimate gathering while the larger terrace located on the west side of the space has its own swimming pool, bar and variety of seating options including chaise lounges, banquettes, and high top communal tables.

As the sun goes down, ride the elevator up to Magic Hour, New York City’s largest indoor/outdoor all-season hotel rooftop bar and lounge, the latest NYC development from the TAO Group.
The 10,000 square foot rooftop boasts incredible views of the Empire State Building as well as carousel seating, an oversized topiary garden, and Foreplay, a miniature putt-putt, featuring life-size animals in compromising positions. An unonventional addition to the menu is the option to book one of the hotel’s nineteen Crashpads – meant for those who may have had a few too many rounds on the carousel or simply don’t want the night to end.
The Polynesian
Westlight
Thriving in the Williamsburg neighborhood is summer hotspot Westlight, a 22nd-floor rooftop bar offering incredible views of NYC atop The William Vale Hotel.
While you’re sipping on delicious cocktails enjoy 360-degree views of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows encircling the central bar and lounge. Above Westlight, you’ll find a 23rd-floor rooftop called The Turf Club that offers the highest views of any hotel in Williamsburg with a grassy lawn area and additional lounge seating.
