NYC-Based Greek Restaurant Avra Madison Estiatorio Debuts Its First West Coast Location In Beverly Hills
It’s official: Beloved upscale Greek restaurant Avra Madison Estiatorio has made its way to California. The NYC-based restaurant is opening the doors to its first West Coast location, Avra Beverly Hills, this Friday, April 27.
The restaurant will feature the authentic Mediterranean cuisine it’s known for including fresh seafood flown in daily from Europe. Just like the original restaurants, this new Los Angeles restaurant also has a seafood display from which diners can select their fish. Signature dishes from the original NYC locations will also be on the menu including charcoal grilled octopus and crispy zucchini with eggplant chips served with homemade tzatziki sauce. Other menu highlights include artic char, grilled Colorado lamb chops, and sashimi. For dessert, don’t miss the chocolate yogurt cheesecake with raspberry rosewater sauce and chocolate bark accompanied by a glass of wine.
As for the 11,000-square-foot space, formerly the home of Hakkasan, expect nothing but luxury. Design features are a nod to classic Mediterranean restaurants accentuated with modern touches such as a floor-to-ceiling glass entryway, moss-covered stones, greenery, and fresh lemon trees.
The bar and lounge is decked out with a Dolomiti marble bar, antique mirrors, and white oak walls. Meanwhile, the main dining room has a lush garden vibe thanks to a skylight and ficus trees as does the spacious outdoor dining area complete with a beautiful wood-beam trellis dripping with magenta-colored flowers.
Guests looking for a more exclusive dining experience can book out the private dining room above the main dining room. Adorned with palm tree motifs and a glass-enclosed wine display, the space can accommodate up to 40 guests for cozy sit down dinner. If you’re looking to host a bigger event, there’s also a larger space fit for 150 people.
