Cannes Yachting Festival Is Celebrating Its 40th Anniversary
Time flies when having fun, and this is most certainly the case at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. It was in 1977 that the event was launched, and it has grown bigger and better ever since. Last year no-less than 630 yachts were on display, attracting a crowd of over 51.000 visitors from five continents.
The power behind the thriving of the show has been not only the number of yachts and boats on display but also the wide variety sizes and types. It makes the Cannes Yachting Festival a place for everybody who enjoys luxury boating.
To increase this experience, even more, the Cannes Yachting Festival introduces this year the “Luxury Gallery.” Here visitors can find exclusive products and services whose relation to yachting is more indirect. Think of fine spirits, exclusive watches, and refined art.
This year the Cannes Yachting Festival’s Concours d’Elégance competition will also return. It showcases some of the most beautiful antique boats, classic yachts and some of its modern day counter parts in an unprecedented nautical parade. Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Concours d’Elégance if prices were not awarded, and this will be the task of an expert jury.
To make a visit even more unique, the Cannes Yachting Festival also offers VIP and Riviera Card. The VIP cards allow you to use the VIP entrance, access to the VIP club, concierge service, as well as enjoy a courtesy car by Maserati, official partner of the show. The Riviere card adds to this, even more, privileges like a guided tour of the Cannes Yachting Festival by tender, a helicopter ride and an exclusive lunch in the show’s Panoramic Restaurant.
The Cannes Yachting Festival is taking place from 12th to 17th September 2017 in the exquisite bay of Cannes.
