Supermodel Cindy Crawford made for an eye-catching sight at the June 2nd launch of Orbis International’s latest Flying Eye Hospital model launch at LAX.
Acting as an ambassador for haute timepiece brand OMEGA, which partners with Orbis, the stunner posed prettily with gigantic teddybears and saucily in front of the flying hospital.
The Flying Eye Hospital—a state of the art training and treatment hospital. It is the only non-land-based hospital in the world that is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities—includes a 46-seat classroom; state-of-the-art AV/IT room; a patient care/laser treatment room; an operating room; a sterilization room and pre and post-operative care room. It features a modular design, 3D technology and live broadcast capabilities.
The brunette beauty took to her Instagram to share a photo of the first hospital in the sky. “Tucking in a teddy patient at the unveiling of the new @orbisintl MD-10 #flyingeyehospital at LAX this morning. So proud to be part of this great cause!” she wrote.
This isn’t Crawford’s first ride on the plane, so to speak: in 2015, she teamed up with Orbis for the documentary “Hospital in the Sky,” which featured her trip to Peru on the Flying Eye Hospital.
OMEGA, the Swiss timepiece brand for which she is an ambassador, has been a partner of Orbis International’s since 2011, when two two teamed up on an insightful and successful documentary called “Through Their Eyes” which followed OMEGA brand ambassador Daniel Craig on his visit to the Flying Eye Hospital in Mongolia.
In addition to these documentaries, OMEGA also supports Orbis in several other ways, including the provision of teddy bears to young patients and the donation of vital funds through special commemorative Orbis timepieces.
