Haute Living, Palazzo del Sol, & Zacapa’s Dinner Aboard Super Yacht Usher in MIA
Haute Living magazine aimed to produce a fun-filled night of floating luxury, and that it did. Haute teamed up with Palazzo Del Sol, Fisher Island’s newest and most exclusive building to date, and played host to an intimate crowd of Miami’s who’s who aboard the 154’ super yacht Usher on November 11.
Miami’s hautest sipped delicious specialty Zacapa rum cocktails and dined al fresco on the aft deck overlooking the famed island’s historic Vanderbilt Mansion. Palazzo del Sol’s Dora Puig was in attendance as well as Amar’e Stoudemire, Kamal Hotchandani, Alan & Ruth Zelcer, Jean-Christophe Sibelya, Joey Krutel and Troy Garity.
A haven for celebrities, athletes and the business elite, Fisher Island is ushering in a new era in luxury living with the opulent addition of Palazzo Del Sol’s 47 waterfront residences. Designed by Kobi Karp with interiors by Antrobus+Ramirez and outdoor spaces by Enzo Enea, prices at Palazzo Del Sol range from $6.5 to 35 million. More than 60 percent of the bespoke homes are already spoken for, and residents will begin enjoying the 6-star services and amenities when they move in this Spring.
Zacapa rum is aged in the highlands of Quetzaltenango, 7544ft above sea level – one of the highest aging facilities in the world. Here, Zacapa slowly develops its complex flavor and character over time. In the mountains, the cool temperature slows the ageing process, while the thinner air and lower atmospheric pressure helps intensify the infusion of flavors from the barrels.
Barrels are then aged using a unique Sistema Solera based on a Spanish tradition developed over 500 years ago to age sherry. Rums of different ages are blended in casks that once held robust American whiskey, delicate sherry and fine Pedro Ximenez wines. Every drop of rum passes through each type of cask, allowing each one to share its aromas and flavours with the maturing liquid. The result is a remarkable rum of exceptional quality.
Haute Living, Palazzo del Sol and Ron Zacapa, the crème de la crème of their respective fields, created the perfect ambience for potential buyers to experience the magnificence that is Palazzo del Sol.
