Endeavor to Host 2nd Annual Entrepreneurship Gala
Haute 100 member Sean Wolfington is on the board of Endeavor for a reason. The organization brings together some of the world’s most brilliant business minds. This Wednesday, November 18th, they will come together in Miami Beach at the Endeavor Miami Gala, an annual event dedicated to celebrating entrepreneurship in Miami.
Some 300 business leaders, entrepreneurs and investors will come together for the gala thrown by Endeavor Miami, the first-ever U.S. affiliate of the massively successful Endeavor Global, an organization dedicated to accelerating entrepreneurship and fueling economic growth.
The event will take place at the New World Center and celebrate two very special entrepreneurs this year: Jim McKelvey (serial entrepreneur and Co-founder of mobile payments company Square, and Founder of LaunchCode) and Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, (a digital entrepreneur Co-founder of Gilt which pioneered the online flash sale and currently the Co-founder and CEO of the much heralded mobile app GLAMSQUAD), giving each the first Endeavor Miami IMPACT Award.
Endeavor Global is an impact organization that is leading the global movement to catalyze long-term economic growth by selecting, mentoring, and accelerating the best high-impact entrepreneurs around the world. A few months ago, Endeavor was honored with the 2015 Henry R. Kravis Prize, the world’s most prestigious award for nonprofit leadership. The importance of the group can be measured monetarily as Endeavor entrepreneurs across the globe have generated close to $7.6 billion in revenue and over 500,000 jobs.
The Miami branch of Endeavor launched in September of 2013 with the support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and a very active local board of business leaders who help mentor selected businesses.
