Hollywood had even more of a royal evening than ever when Their Serene Highnesses The Prince and The Princess of Monaco came to Tinseltown for the 2014 Princess Grace Awards Gala.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco were on hand at the Christian Dior-presented gala, held at The Beverly Hilton, to recognize this year’s Princess Grace Award winners David Hallberg (American Ballet Theatre) and Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis) with the Princess Grace Statue Awards, and Dick Van Dyke with the Prince Rainier III Award; the Princess Grace Awards carry on the legacy of Princess Grace [Kelly] of Monaco and her desire to sustain artistic excellence by identifying and assisting emerging talent in theater, dance, and film.

Attendees included Gala co-chairs Dick and Noelle Wolf (Honorary Consul of Monaco in Los Angeles), Bob Iger and Willow Bay (The Walt Disney Company), Sidney Toledano (Christian Dior Couture) and Jane Lynch (Gala Host) presenters Geena Davis, Conan O’Brien, Adam Shankman and Eric Simonson, and guests Buzz Aldrin, George Hamilton, Tippi Hedren, Alan Horn, Quincy Jones, Eva Longoria, Nathalie Love, Nigel Lythgoe, Odeya Rush, Eva Marie Saint, Alanna Stewart, Anne Sweeney, Kirsten Vangsness and Zendaya.

Guests enjoyed a special performance by The Tenors (Victor Micallef, Clifton Murray, Remigio Pereira, and Fraser Walters) as well as a gala dinner.
During the event, it was announced next year’s 2015 Prince Grace Awards Gala will be held in Monaco before Dick Van Dyke received a standing ovation as he accepted the Prince Rainier III Award; he joked about staying young at the age of 89 by dancing on stage.

The Princess Grace Foundation-USA is a non-profit, publicly-supported foundation, headquartered in New York City and founded 32 years ago by Prince Rainier III of Monaco to honor his wife, Princess Grace’s [Kelly] legacy. The Foundation’s mission is dedicated to identifying and assisting emerging talent in theater, dance, and film by awarding grants in the form of scholarships, apprenticeships, and fellowships. Since the Foundation’s inception, nearly 700 recipients have been awarded, totaling over $11 million.
