As the group sat for dinner, Asian Art Museum director Jay Xu and gala co-chair Nanci Nishimura welcomed guests with opening remarks in the grand Samsung Hall. Guests were served a delectable four course dinner while the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus made a surprise performance to top off the night. The special exhibition features artworks from the Asian Art Museum and SFMOMA exploring beauty at the extremes. The event raised $400,000 towards presenting the exhibition.
