Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg has enlisted some famous friends to help her spread the “lean in” gospel. Beyonce has joined a roster of powerful women — including Jennifer Garner, Diane von Furstenberg, and Condoleezza Rice — who are supporting Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In organization, which works to empower women.
Beyonce has made an ad for the organization discouraging the use of the word “bossy” to describe ambitious women — “I’m not bossy; I’m the boss,” she says.
The commercial was made for the ‘Lean In and Girl Scouts’ Ban Bossy movement’, which is supported by Lifetime and a number of other partners who aim to raise awareness for raising girls’ self esteem during early adolescence .
