Haute Secrets: Danielle Chang of Luckyrice Festival

DanielleChangcrop

Danielle Chang started the popular Asian dining extravaganza known as the LUCKYRICE Festival four years ago, working as an equity sales associate for Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, serving as U.S. head of French advertising agency Assouline (she’s the one who launched the very successful custom publishing division) and chief executive at Vivienne Tam. It’s no wonder she was named in Crain’s New York 40 under Forty!

Now she’s focusing on this year’s culinary festival, which will be at The Raleigh Pool & Oasis and feature 30 amazing chefs and mixologists who will be taking a spin at creating Asian inspired tasting dishes and cocktails. Bombay Sapphire East is the main spirit in the cocktails for the evening and the gin already has a spicy, tangy undertone due to the Vietnamese peppercorns and Thai lemongrass and should be interesting to see how  8 mixologists play with gin in their cocktails. Here are her favorite places in Miami.

PS. Danielle wants guests to wear “chili pepper red” as a nod to the affinity for chili peppers as a flavor profile in both Asian and Latino cuisines.
