Mercato di Vetro Freshens Up for Spring

News | May 18, 2012

SBE hospitality group’s Mercato di Vetro just got a spring makeover with its newly launched menu items created by celebrated chef Danny Elmaleh, who oversees a diverse collection of restaurant and nightlife menus within the SBE portfolio.

The sophisticated Italian eatery now features a fresh sheep milk ricotta with truffle honey and black pepper crostini, pig ears with Aioli and chili oil, a blackberry and bacon pizza with ricotta, Parmesan and arugula, veal belly pastrami, fresh chopped salads, and a Chicken al Mattone of 18-ounce poussin and seasonal panzanella, among entrees.

Inspired by the rustic kitchens of Italy, Mercato di Vetro boasts an open market layout and spans two levels connected by floor-to-ceiling wine racks.

The popular Santa Monica Boulevard restaurant, marketplace and bar opened in October in West Hollywood, and features tapas-style dishes that are abundant in rich and colorful flavors—a trademark of the SBE restaurant collection.
