Luke Jerram’s Latest Work ‘Aeolus’ Opened At Canary Wharf Tuesday
Canary Wharf celebrated the opening of the Aeolus Sculpture Tuesday, which is an arch of silver tubes that act like a giant Aeolian harp.
This amplifies surrounding drafts, gusts and flurries into a soft, shifting hum, and visitors are able to stand beneath the sculpture and peer through the 310 stainless steel tubes while they whistle away.
The installation is the latest work by Luke Jerram. Last year Jerram brought the Sky Orchestra to London after wowing the town with his intricate glass sculptures of viruses.
